ND man gets 35 months for assault

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Federal prosecutors said a Fort Yates man was sentenced Monday to 35 months in federal prison and $4,757 in restitution for assault.

Twenty-one-year-old Frank Marshall pleaded guilty in December to assault with a dangerous weapon.

The U.S. Attorney's office said Marshall kicked a Fort Yates woman in the head and body after knocking her to the ground last August at Fort Yates on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.
