ND man faces sex crime charge after blizzard trip
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Minot man is accused of having sexual online chats with a law enforcement officer posing as a 14-year-old Grand Forks girl, then driving to the city during a blizzard to meet her.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Minot man is accused of having sexual online chats with a law enforcement officer posing as a 14-year-old Grand Forks girl, then driving to the city during a blizzard to meet her.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that 38-year-old Michael Swanson has posted $7,500 bond and been released from jail. He is due back in court April 6. He does not have a listed telephone number or an attorney.
Authorities say Swanson was arrested Friday when he arrived in Grand Forks after driving through the storm. It takes more than three hours to drive between the two cities in good weather.
