Henning man sentenced in connection with a man found dead on the highway
Henning, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A Henning man will serve 30 days in jail in connection with an accident where he failed to stop after a man jumped out his moving car and died.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
A judge sentenced James Seaver to 365 days in jail on a gross misdemeanor DUI charge. All but 30 will be stayed.
He'll also pay more than 4-thousand dollars in fines and fees. It was part of a plea agreement. Seaver originally faced felony charges.
31-year-old Dajun Honer died from traumatic head injuries caused by the fall. Seaver, who had a blood alcohol level over .20 says he didn't realize that Honer had jumped out.
