Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The flood fight ramped up at Oak Grove Lutheran School. Today crews installed steel gates in the campus flood wall, bolstering flood protection.

Work was completed last week to add 2 feet of poured concrete to the floodwall on the east side of campus. That brings the flood wall to 44 feet, matching the city's flood protection.

Ann Marie Campbell - Oak Grove School: “Our goal is to keep our campus dry again this year as in the past. We had our issue in 2009, but our goal is to keep the campus dry and to keep our students, faculty and staff all safe, so we do everything for the protection of our students and our campus.”

The city will also add another foot of protection to the steel cofferdam on the north side of the campus just north of Benson Hall. Benson Hall flooded in 2009.
