Grovers return to the state tournament with unfinished business

Fargo, ND (WDAY Sports) - It's been the theme for the Oak Grove boy’s basketball team all season long: Unfinished business.

The Grovers are heading back to the state tournament for the 2nd straight year and for the second straight year. They're undefeated, but thanks to last year's experience they feel that can help when they get to Minot.

Kyle Card - Oak Grove Head Coach: “This year the target was on our back and we stepped up to all the challenges and we're kind of looking forward to it. We're gonna enjoy it. It's kind of a fine line, you wanna get out there and have fun, but you also there to win so I think these guys are ready to go and just ready to leave town.”

Josh Teigen - Oak Grove Senior: “We just kind of came out slow and you can't do that in the state tournament because everyone is just too good out there so we just need to come out and play our basketball and we should come out with our goal.”

The 2nd ranked Grovers face 3rd ranked New Town at 8 pm Thursday night. Top ranked North Star faces Standing Rock.
