The 17-year old high school basketball player collapsed during a game in January. His doctors expect him to make a full recovery from heart surgery.
A silent auction, free will donations, and raffle raised an amazing 67,000 dollars in 5 hours.
“This is probably the most overwhelming thing I have ever done in my 26-years of coaching. I've been through some things before, but this is talking a tragic event and making it very positive,” Zach's coach Dave Cresap said.
To donate, go to Zach's Caringbridge site. The money will go to his medical expenses.
