Flood meeting held in Georgetown

Georgetown, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A small community that was forced to put up with some of the toughest flood fighting the last two years is back to making more difficult decisions. Georgetown hosted a flood meeting tonight.

Like most places they too are preparing for the worst. In '09 the city turned into an island. 100 people evacuated their homes that year and the sheriff advised them to be ready again this year.

TRACI GOBLE – Mayor: “We have some elderly and that's the main concern to get those elderly out and the children out.”

The corps is preparing to raise the city's dike by at least 2 feet this year.
