No customers or tellers were injured. This is the second bank robbery in a week here in the metro. At this point, police don't believe there is a connection between the two hold-ups, or the three Stop N Go Robberies.
Still un-solved tonight, three Stop N Go Robberies and the Western State Bank hold up Friday. Today, the alleged robber picked the wrong time and location.
When 36 year old Scott Maxwell allegedly walked into US Bank just off the downtown plaza, he left a lasting impression on those who saw him.
Police say Maxwell did not display a weapon, but when he left on foot, the man who carried his belongings in a big duffle bag was quickly taken down.
No local banks ever discuss security, but across the street at Gate City Bank, recent remodeling and expansion have allowed for state of the art security you will never see or hear about.
When police arrested Maxwell in the alley behind Rooters, they did find the bank loot on him. And again, the FBI said this afternoon, Maxwell is not a suspect in any other bank robberies.
