Lisbon, ND (WDAY TV) - Lisbon city leaders continue to explore the options to approve 17-flood buyout homes with homeowners. Lisbon's mayor says the city will most likely create a special assessment for home owners.
The city is in the process of appraising each of the homes. City leaders want the city to buyout the homes, not FEMA. That’s because they want to build permanent flood protection.
Not every home owner has decided to take a flood buyout.
