The demand for nurses is critical throughout the state, especially in rural areas. The program at Mayville State will help a lot of students from rural areas get the education they need to become an R-N.
Julie Traynor of the Dakota Nursing program says it reaches those students who are already working in rural communities.
JULIE TRAYNOR - Program Director: “By getting the nursing education in their own smaller communities it really allows them to pursue that dream.”
The North Dakota State Board of Nursing approved the site delivery last month.
