Ribbons worn by Congress members were produced by a Fargo company

(WDAY TV) - Those black and white ribbons worn by Congress members last night during the State of the Union came from a Fargo business. F-R-S Industries, or Fast Reliable Service, lived up to its name.

The company got the call Monday to produce 15-hundred ribbons for the address. Workers started production at 9 am and were done by 4 pm to make a 4:30 shipment deadline.

The white symbolizes hope and the black anti-violence. The ribbons were also worn by Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford's and her husband as they watched the state of the union from her hospital room.
