The city says it plans to buyout the homes along the river to help build a permanent levee. The city has been talking with Moore engineering out of West Fargo about building permanent flood levees.
Ross Cole, Lisbon's mayor says it’s looking to get as much permanent flood protection built by this years flood.
ROSS COLELisbon Mayor: “Well we'd like to, but we got a long ways to go to get there. Right now if we have to put up temporary, we put in temporary.”
Lisbon will hold a public information meeting next Monday, the 31st on its plans to buyout those homes.
