100 Car Pile-Up On I-94: Criminal charges could be possible
Mapleton, ND (WDAY TV) - Criminal Charges could be possible in the death of a man hit during the I-94 pile-up near Mapleton on December 30th.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The Highway Patrol says it's finished its investigation into the 100-car pileup, which began after a semi jack-knifed on the road. The semi was pulling an empty trailer and high winds caused the driver to lose control.
Nearly 40 accidents followed, involving multiple-vehicles on glare ice in near-zero visibility. A Walcott man died from injuries he suffered in the pile-up and that report will be forwarded to Cass County prosecutors.
4 others were injured.
