Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Minnesota Senator Al Franken says he's worried about federal funding for a North Dakota diversion.
Franken says a lot has changed since the government helped Grand Forks build permanent flood protection after the '97 flood.
One of the biggest differences is the price tag. The North Dakota diversion could cost 1.5 billion dollars, 3-times of the flood protection for Grand Forks.
Franken says despite the steep price, there is also a cost for doing nothing.
