BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A speakers' agency said it will represent

former North Dakota U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan for lecture bookings.

Leading Authorities Inc. of Washington, D.C., said in a

statement Wednesday that the Democrat would be available to discuss

"the current political environment, energy policy, and America's

economic outlook."

Dorgan left office this week after 18 years in the Senate. He

also served as a U.S. House member and North Dakota's tax

commissioner during a 40-year political career.

Dorgan was replaced by Republican John Hoeven, who was North

Dakota's governor for 10 years. Hoeven was sworn in Wednesday.

The speakers' agency represents a number of former politicians

and business leaders, including the former chief executives of

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Procter & Gamble Co.
