BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota's first adult drug court is
celebrating its tenth anniversary.
The Bismarck-Mandan Drug-DUI Court began Jan. 5, 2001, giving
nonviolent drug and alcohol offenders an alternative to being
locked up. They must go through treatment and probation and meet
other requirements. Officials say 102 people have successfully
completed the program.
An anniversary celebration is planned Friday at the Burleigh
County Courthouse in Bismarck.
