ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Department of Natural
Resources has unveiled a logo to identify all projects funded by
the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
The four-color logo was designed by Bernadette Stephenson of St.
Cloud, who was one of 76 participants in the design contest.
The logo had to illustrate the clean water, outdoor heritage,
parks and trails, and arts and cultural heritage funds that were
established after voters approved the Legacy Amendment in 2008. The
amendment raised the sales tax by three-eighths of one percentage
point. The contest was mandated by the 2010 Legislature.
The logo will be displayed throughout the state at access points
to projects supported through the four funds, and on their printed
and other materials.
