Area drivers deal with another round of nasty weather

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Another week, another round of nasty weather. Ground drifting and inches of falling snow are causing the roads to deteriorate by the second. Numerous accidents have already been reported throughout the area.

This is the heaviest the snow has been falling all day and it's causing quite a mess for travelers. When we went out to this rollover on I-29, three more people went into the ditch in our 10 minutes out there!

The problem with these conditions is that the plows are essentially no help on the interstates because the slight wind is causing snow to blow over the roads and make it like glare ice. So if plows lay down salt and sand, it will just blow right off. Officers are stressing: drive slowly and take your time, or you could end up in the ditch.

The heavy snow should be ending this evening, but the roads will continue to be icy and nasty throughout the night.
