Today, the two companies donated 15-hundred hams to the Salvation Army. The meat will be included in holiday food baskets that will be handed out Thursday to families that have registered with Salvation Army.
It is the third year Hornbacher's has teamed up with the North Dakota based Cloverdales in making the donation.
CAPTAIN BILL NEALYSalvation Army: “This can be your neighbor. A lot of people are one disaster away from financial peril. Broken down car or sick child and missing work and that’s why we are here, that is what we are here to do.”
Distribution of those food baskets will run from 10 am until 4 pm Thursday at the Civic. You have to be registered to receive one.
