Over the past seven years we've been spoiled as the Spuds and Rams have played three times, the third for a trip to state.
Round one is tonight in hockey-town, and while this is a young Spuds team, they remember that Roseau beat them for a chance at state.
Dave MorinvilleSpuds Head Coach: “It's hard to prepare for the section final in December because you gotta do a lot of December to set yourself up to get that way and I'm a big guy about talking about what's in front of us, what's in hand.”
Ben DodaSpuds Sr. Center: ”We think about that every day. Every day we come to the rink, we have up in the locker room the paper from last year when we lost, it says no state for Spuds. The guys see that every day and we know what we need to work for.”
Three of the last four years Roseau has earned the trip to state.
