Party leaders will try to reach a deal to extend Bush era tax cuts before they expire in January. Here's Senator Byron Dorgan, blasting Republicans.
"They are demanding that the wealthiest Americans get a tax cut that is a thousand times the size of the average American."
Minnesota Senator Al Franken is visibly frustrated about that vote.
SEN. AL FRANKEN(D) Minnesota: "This isn't really a hard choice. We have two wars. We are headed for a real, real crisis in terms of our long term deficit. And this is a chance to address it.”
If the cuts expire, taxes would go up 22-hundred dollars for people making 65-thousand dollars a year.
