Police: Woman facing DWI charge had 3 kids in car

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — An Owatonna woman is facing a DWI charge after St. Cloud police say she was caught driving under the influence with three children in her car.

Police say the 25-year-old woman was arrested after 10 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of 3rd degree DWI and 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.

A police report says officers were dispatched after they were told by staff at the state prison in St. Cloud that that she might be driving while under the influence of a controlled substance. It says she failed field sobriety tests. Police also say they found four medications in her possession for which she lacked a prescription.

She was taken to the Sherburne County Jail. No one was injured in the incident.
