3 people pulled from frigid lake near Nevis, MN
Nevis, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A dangerous rescue in Hubbard County as three people are pulled from frigid waters. It happened on Island Lake, near Nevis, Saturday.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The trio was on a hovercraft, when ice popped its air bags. The hovercraft started sinking, several hundred feet from shore.
Emergency crews had difficulty reaching the 59-year-old and two 20-year-olds before they finally pulled themselves up onto ice, 14 minutes later. The victims were treated for hypothermia.
