Red Kettle Campaign officially kicks off
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Salvation Army's familiar red kettle is ringing again in the F-M area.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Today, the organization official kicked off the Red Kettle Campaign. It wants to raise 650-thousand dollars this year.
There will be 35-hundred volunteer bell ringers at 33 different sites throughout the area. This year's honorary chairman is Erv Inniger. His competitive side has him wanting to surpass what Doug Burgum did last year as honorary chair.
“I would like to beat his record of 16-thousand for the first day of the kettle drive, but it's not about the record, it's about making it better for other people.”
The bell ringers will be out through December 24th.
