BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Mountain lion season has closed for the year in western North Dakota.

The Game and Fish Department says the hunting quota was met Friday when two lions were killed there, bringing the season total to 10.

The western part of the state is considered Zone 1 during the season. The rest of the state, in Zone 2, has no quota and the season there is open to licensed North Dakotans through March 31.
