Trojan football team returns to the state tournament

Thanks to the program Bryan Strand has built, the Trojans even spent time as the number one ranked team in the state in class A this season.

Now they're hoping to extend their trip to state beyond the first round and get to the Metrodome.

“Last year it was a surprise. We worked hard. We didn't know what to expect. This year we know that to expect and I think our kids got the feel for it last year and now we just want more.”

“I think it will help us extremely because we'll know what to expect. Last year we were kind of shocked when we got down to Morris.

Undefeated Barnesville will play undefeated Mahnomen at 5 at the Fargodome.
