WAHPETON, N.D. – Three teenagers were taken to the hospital after a crash Tuesday involving a car and semitrailer west of Wahpeton.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office says an eastbound 2000 Oldsmobile was passing the semi on State Highway 13 when the car swerved into the semi for an unknown reason at about 6:26 p.m. The semi spun around and slid to a stop in the north ditch.

The car’s driver, Summer Olgaard, 18, of Wahpeton, and her two passengers, Tabitha Brown, 18, and Dylan Foertsch, 19, were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge, Minn., according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Olgaard and Foertsch were treated and released and Brown was listed in good condition, a hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday morning.
