Western Minn. hunters find human remainsMORRIS, Minn. (AP) — The Stevens County Sheriff's Office says human remains found by hunters near the town of Hancock in western Minnesota belong to a man who disappeared from a nearby group home six years ago.
Investigators say Jack Eisel was last seen wandering away from the Williams Home boarding house on Nov. 26, 2004. Eisel, who was 40 at the time of his disappearance, was identified as disabled by local authorities.
On Saturday, the hunters were in a wooded area about two and a half miles from the home when they found the remains. KSAX-TV in Alexandria reports they were quickly identified as belonging to Eisel. Authorities say foul play is not suspected.
