Man sentenced for assault at youth game

HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) — A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to six years in prison for assaulting a boys' basketball commissioner and a parent at a tournament in Burnsville last February.

HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) — A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to six years in prison for assaulting a boys' basketball commissioner and a parent at a tournament in Burnsville last February.

Forty-nine-year-old Robin Johnson also was ordered to pay restitution.

Johnson pleaded guilty in June to four charges, including two assault felonies. Prosecutors say he punched Jeff Shand, director of the Burnsville Athletic program, after an overtime sixth-grade game Feb. 13.
