Flood fighting leader moving out of the F-M area
Oakport Township, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A 17-year flood fighting leader is on his way out. Greg Anderson has lived in Oakport since 1993.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
He retired from the Moorhead police department in 2008. As Township Chairman, he's seen plenty of floods. Anderson is selling his home this spring and moving to Turtle Lake in Clay County.
“I'm not looking forward to leaving, and I'm hoping to serve until the annexation in whatever capacity I can. I’ll make myself available to the township residents. I've always said my cell number won’t change, my email wont change, call me ill help you get the answers you need.”
Anderson plans to continue working as a real estate agent.
