Man Remains In Critical Condition After Train-Truck Accident

A Breezy Point, MN man remains in critical condition after he was involved in a train-truck accident near Fisher, MN.

45-year-old Robert Forsman of Breezy Point, MN remains in critical condition at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

The Highway Patrol says Forsman was hauling sugar beets when he failed to yield to a westbound freight train about 7:30 Thursday morning at 370th Ave. S.W. near the intersection with U.S. Highway 2 near Fisher, MN, and about 11 miles east of East Grand Forks.

Authorities say the truck was pushed almost a quarter of a mile down the tracks.

The driver of the BNSF train was not injured.
