Research Group: Homelessness has increased by 29 percent(WDAY TV) - You may think it's only in the big cities, but on any given night there are 15-hundred homeless people in Fargo-Moorhead. It's the findings from the Wilder Research Group.

For the past decade, the group has done a study in the F-M area every 3 years. In that time, homelessness has increased by 29 percent.
A characteristic of half of the homeless population is a similar situation at a young age.
“A really bad family start and then you're in a situation where it's going to be much more difficult for you to gain the range of services that are going to make you sort of be stable and be able to maintain housing on your own.”
Military veterans make up 34 percent of homeless adults in Fargo.
