Ransom County deputy injured while on duty is now off the force
Lisbon, ND (WDAY TV) - A Ransom County deputy injured in a crash two years ago is now off the force.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Deputy Tracy Jund was seriously injured in October of 2008 after a drunk driver crashed into him. Jund was on duty at the time.
The man who was convicted in connection with that crash, Shane Reinhart, has since had another D-U-I. Meantime because of the work related injury, Jund is unable to work and says he is suing an arm W-S-I called the North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund.
Jund has been critical of the courts handling of Reinhart's criminal cases, saying judges have been too lenient on him, while Jund says his career and family have suffered after the crash.
