Authorities say 34-year-old Clinton Bitz of Sioux Falls, S.D., died in April 2007 from an acute Fentanyl overdose caused by a powerful painkiller patch.

No criminal charges were filed.

Cyr was seeking more than $80,000. Details of the settlement were not disclosed.
