Settlement reached in death of SD bodybuilder
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A lawsuit in North Dakota involving the parents of a South Dakota bodybuilder who died of a drug overdose has been settled out of court. Authorities say 34-year-old Clinton Bitz of Sioux Falls, S.D., died in April 2007 from an acute Fentanyl overdose caused by a powerful painkiller patch.

Authorities say 34-year-old Clinton Bitz of Sioux Falls, S.D., died in April 2007 from an acute Fentanyl overdose caused by a powerful painkiller patch.
Bitz's mother, Wanda Cyr, of Monticello, Minn., filed a wrongful death lawsuit in federal court against her son's father, Francis Bitz of Edgeley. Francis Bitz was accused of supplying the patch.
No criminal charges were filed.
Cyr was seeking more than $80,000. Details of the settlement were not disclosed.
Lawyers in the case did not return phone messages.
