$20,000 donated to help the Wadena Marching Band recover from the tornado

Wadena, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Students in the Wadena Marching Band are singing a happy tune tonight.

State Farm Insurance is giving the band 20-thousand dollars. It's helping hand to recover from the tornado.

The band is already forced to practice in the elementary school auditorium and there's usually gym going on at the same time. The list of things to replace is a lengthy one.

"The percussion drum line, bass drum, snare drum, quads, carriers, carrying cases."

"I was astounded. I never thought it would be that much."

The 20-thosuand dollar grant comes from State Farm's Foundation.
