Cause of Fargo apartment fire remains unknown

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The cause is still not known in last week's South Fargo apartment fire that left 150 people homeless.
Fargo's Fire Marshal Norman Scott tells WDAY they "do" know that it started on the first floor balcony in the middle of the Galleria on 42nd apartments. They've sent evidence from the scene to the state crime lab in Bismarck, which should take about 7-10 days to get back.
Fire officials say someone was believed to be grilling, when the fire went up the flammable vinyl siding and into the attic. Two firefighters had to be rescued after a ceiling collapsed during the blaze.
