Things returning to normal in the Grommesh neighborhood

Landscaping crews started what is called "Reclamation Day". That is where homes near the Extreme Makeover site get their lawns seeded or sodded. Some residents allowed tents and viewing areas on their front lawns and now they need a little T-L-C.

Also today, students from Discovery helped with clean-up in the neighborhood. They picked up paper and water bottles that had been left behind from the week of work.

“I very much hope they get something out of this. I don't want this to be something that they just go yeah, that was fun and forget it.”

All avenues and streets near the "extreme makeover site are now open. Barricades were removed earlier today.
