Ottertail man killed in crash

OTTERTAIL, Minn. – An Ottertail man was killed Monday in a single-vehicle crash near here.
Edward Theodore Nelson, 82, was driving eastbound on County Highway 1 on the northwest edge of Ottertail when his van left the road and struck a tree, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department.
Nelson, who was the only occupant of the van, died as a result of the crash, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The crash happened about 9 a.m. Monday.
