Sheriff: 2 dead teens had apparent gunshot wounds
LAKELAND, Minn. (AP) — The Washington County sheriff has released the names of two teens found dead in a park east of the Twin Cities.
LAKELAND, Minn. (AP) — The Washington County sheriff has released the names of two teens found dead in a park east of the Twin Cities.
Sheriff Bill Hutton says Wednesday that 14-year-old Jacob Zachary Campbell of Lakeland and 15-year-old Lisa Marie Grijalva of Oak Park Heights were found in Humphries Park in Lakeland. Their bodies were discovered near a heavily wooded bluff not far from a footpath about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Both teens had apparent gunshot wounds and Hutton says a long barreled weapon was found near one of the bodies.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is providing assistance at the crime scene and with the investigation.
The teens were ninth-graders at Oak-Land Junior High in Lake Elmo.
