Medora mayor no longer seeking smoking ban

MEDORA, N.D. (AP) — Medora's mayor says he's no longer seeking to ban smoking in public places and area businesses.

Doug Ellison says there isn't enough support for a ban in the southwest North Dakota tourist town.

Ellison had said earlier that his proposal would help protect the health of thousands of tourists and keep streets clear of cigarette butts, presenting a better image.
