Glyndon man arrested for assaulting his father with an ax handleGlyndon, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A Glyndon man is knocked unconscious after he was hit several times with an ax handle. What's more is that his son is now in jail, blamed for the bloody attack.
Police received a call about ten o'clock last night that there was an assault here at Pleasantview Manor in Glyndon. Court documents say the son was fighting with his father about whether he could live with him here.
18-year old Bryce Reyes (ray-ess) is charged with felony assault, domestic assault and criminal damage to property. According to Clay County Attorney Brian Melton, the victim says the argument started when he told Reyes he couldn't live with him anymore. The victim says he went to bed, and that's when Reyes came and hit him several times in the head, back and arm. His head injury required staples.
Some nearby neighbors say they didn't hear the argument. They say they know the 40-year old victim for being polite and sometimes helpful. They say he's helped dig neighbors' cars out of the snow during winter.
Melton says both individuals had been drinking. Reyes faces at least 2 years in jail.
