INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) — A Twin Cities man is accused of leaving his 4-year-old son in a minivan while watching a movie at a theater.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports 32-year-old Dominick Miller of Inver Grove Heights was charged Tuesday with one count of child neglect, a gross misdemeanor.
The complaint says police were called Friday night on a report of a child being left unattended in a minivan parked in front of an Inver Grove Heights theater in a fire lane.
According to the complaint, the child told police that his father went in the theater to watch a movie and told the boy to stay in the van.
Miller's attorney declined to comment. A court appearance is set for Oct. 25.
