Minnesota Senator visits recently completed diversion
(WDAY TV) - Amy Klobuchar might want to take a page out of Warren, Minnesota's book as a carbon copy for a North Dakota Diversion.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The Minnesota Senator checked out the just completed a diversion project in Warren today. She says she's for ideas and options for other Minnesota cities dealing with flood waters.
She knows it's important the government works to protect smaller towns, not just the Fargo Moorhead’s of the Valley.
“We're looking at samples and examples of projects that work and this one in Warren works and we want to make sure we find things for our smaller communities so they're not left under water.”
It's estimated the 18-million dollar Warren Diversion has saved the city about 17-million dollars.
