Public meetings scheduled in Cass County to inform voters on proposed sales tax

(WDAY TV) - There will be some public meetings later this month in Cass County for voters to learn more about the proposed half-cent sales tax that's on November's ballot.

(WDAY TV) - There will be some public meetings later this month in Cass County for voters to learn more about the proposed half-cent sales tax that's on November's ballot.

The money could be used to help pay for flood control. The county would generate an estimated $11-million dollar a year to help pay for the local share of a diversion.

The city of Fargo already passed a half-cent sales tax. The meetings are scheduled for 7 pm:

- October 14th at Longfellow Elementary in North Fargo.

- October 19th at Bennett Elementary in South Fargo.

- October 21st at Cheney Middle in West Fargo.

- October 25th in Casselton.
