BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's Health Department is urging state residents to get vaccinated against the flu.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's Health Department is urging state residents to get vaccinated against the flu.

Immunization program manager Molly Sander says there is plenty of flu vaccine this year. She says it's the easiest and most effective way to protect against getting sick.

Officials say that each year more than 400 North Dakotans die as a result of complications from influenza and pneumonia, and hundreds more are hospitalized.
