MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Police have released identities in a North Dakota shooting that left one man dead and another hospitalized.

MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Police have released identities in a North Dakota shooting that left one man dead and another hospitalized.

Mandan Police Chief Dennis Bullinger says 22-year-old Xavier Thompson of Cartersville, Ga., was killed in the shooting about 2 a.m. Saturday. Twenty-five-year-old Steve Voegele (VOH'-guhl) of Mandan was injured. An autopsy on Thompson is scheduled Thursday.

Police say an argument over ownership of an iPod music player might have led to the incident at a house party. They did not immediately make arrests. Bullinger says officers recovered two handguns — one with Thompson and one in a yard.

Deputy Chief Paul Leingang (LAYN'-gang) says police have dozens of people to interview.
