March of Dimes selects ND Nurse of the Year
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) – It is a huge honor for a long time nurse at Essential Health in Fargo.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The March of Dimes has selected Mar Freeman as the Neo-Natal Nurse of the year.
She has worked 23-years in the unit. It's the third time March of Dimes has sponsored Nurses of the Year throughout North Dakota. The event also raises thousands of dollars that go to projects in our area.
“The area of neo-natalogy is so new and ever changing. We are able to save babies in 2010 that we could not in 1987 and we used to keep families on the fringes and now they are an integral part of the NICU experience from the time they come in until they leave.”
The March of Dimes has a goal of eliminating birth defects through research and education.
