Fargo man upset after nude photos he shared ended up online
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A Fargo man is regretting his decision to send naked photos of himself to a woman he doesn't know. Now, they're online. The exchange of nude photos between strangers is happening more than you may think.
Fargo police say the 19-year old man in the case was contacted on his cell phone. He received nude photos of a female and then was asked for nude pictures of himself. He took them on his phone and gave them willingly, and police who have seen them say the photos left nothing to the imagination.
What upset the man was finding them at www.blogspot.com, where people can post whatever messages and photos they wish. Police will not reveal his name which is used in the blog spot address. These picture exchanges appear easy to do.
On this page at www.experienceproject.com, people write about how they enjoy sharing naked photos with strangers. One person writes it's "a huge turn on." Another says it's "exciting to show off."
Police say beware. If you share pictures even once, the places they could end up are endless.
Sgt. Mark Lykken/Fargo Police Dept: “Once you've given someone those pictures they can save them forever. You can ask for them back, but you might not get them back.”
The posting of the Fargo man's photos online is against the law because it was done without the man's knowledge and caused him emotional harm or humiliation Lykken say it's unlikely they will find out who's to blame.
