Trial set for man in fatal ND bar shooting

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Jan. 24 trial has been set for a man accused of shooting another man during a St. Patrick's Day altercation in a Wyndmere bar. The Fargo Forum reports that the trial for 46-year-old Steven Rowland is expected to last more than a week.

Rowland has pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder.

Authorities say Rowland was arguing with the bar's owner when he shot and killed bar customer Gordon Vosberg, who was trying to intervene. Court records say Vosberg was hit in the chest with a shotgun blast.
