5-year old recovering from being hit by a car after getting off a school bus

Verndale, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A 5-year-old girl is recovering from cuts and bruises after she was hit by a car after getting off a Wadena-Deer Creek school bus.
It happened Monday afternoon in Verndale. The girl was walking around the front of the bus when a car driven by a 90-year-old woman passed the bus and struck the girl.
She was held overnight at a local hospital for observation. The driver of the car was not injured.
